Joanne joined the band during our Southern Taiwan Tour. She brought what everyone said we were missing, DRUMS!! Joanne's rythmn added a whole new sound to 69Across.
Joanne decided to return to Canada soon after Spring Scream Snake and go to school...we miss her. We hear she is doing snow jams in the mountains and pounding away at the slopes!

i just might be needing to spend a month or two in taiwan this spring - December 6, 2002
hello all! well after a very rough 7
days with many misadventures we finally rolled onto salt spring island.
we are staying in a small cabin in the woods near my sisters place, and
meeting many wonderful people - this giant floating crystal has a way of
purging the soul - which is a lot harder to deal with than it sounds....
we are not to sure what we are going to do next - picking mushrooms has
been sort of put on the back burner for now, and we are laying low on the
island for now... francois thinks he wants to spend three weeks working
on a crab boat, while i chill out with my sister, working in the gardens
and doing some summer child care. the weather is beautiful, the sun shines
down like a flower and the sea beats like a heart.

just a quick note to let you all know that francois and i
have strapped on the ol' woodstove and tipi on the roof of our car and are
leaving from pembroke this morning...destination - yukon.
