Aoibhne showed up on the scene early in the Year of the Dragon. Although 'the chicks' had already been practicing for a week or so, we welcomed the deep sound of the dij.
Aoibhne hung out in Taiwan for more than a year. She performed in both Spring Scream Dragon and Snake, as well as our many shows in between.
She has been home in Ireland for a while now, hypnotizing people on the street with the circular beat of the dijereedoo.

hey all
its been a while since ive sent emails!! thank you leoni for the up
dates with photos, my god hes soo cute! he was really like rob but
in later photos hes like you-it changes every day tho! ive lost count of
how old he is now...chloe is 18 months, absloutely no fear, laughs all the
time & is chatting like mad to everyone. (like her dad
only cheekier)
shes in creche every day for 4 hours
around the
corner & im working from home doing the design still, only its
taken a slightly differnt turn in the last few months & im doing a whole
range of greeting cards that are doing really well in shops. i do the market
1-3 days a week with my own stall which is alway good business. we're still
living close to the city centre & having a
great time here in dublin...dave wants more kids only im so happy
with the one for the moment. another year maybe.

hellohello!!
at work at the moment in my studio-love it so much..still waiting for money
to really start rolling in but i was expecting that to be slow. im actually
doing work with the huge building that never got finished in taichung, that
i could see
from the apartment window...& from all over, plus all the fish photos
from the market in kenting at the moment. you wouldnt believe how much i
still think about taiwan & everyone in it. miss it a lot. my company
is called 'formosa design'..nobody here has ever heard of formosa which
is wierd for us to imagine cus its a word that so in our faces (or was in
my case) all over the place.
the baby is so cute!! kicking like mad. im still convinced its a boy but no idea really. its lovely company to feel it squirm inside me non-stop. it loves coffee, red wine & chocolate & particularly indian take-out food. i think cus it makes my tummy girgle more than any other food? so im about 24 weeks- 5 & half months & im still quite small & neat which is good, lots of energy. its really amazing!!
im doing my website with another girl who is helping me. its not ready yet cus shes up to her eyes with other stuff but hopefully by the end of next week it should be ready, please check it out!! its at formosadesign.com

summer in dublin is good, loving the studio here,
doing lots of artwork. i called myself formosa in the end-nobody has heard
of it
here which makes it better, plus it has 'form' in it!

November 6,2002~~i know i always say this but i miss it so much & all of you..... ...it's great here, things are moving, still living with ciara close to the city centre, working from home doing design, as well as the restaurant which is about to get real busy for christmas but we're going to be so rich!! we managed to survive the season last year by being drunk most of the time, doing several doubles a week, to put up with late, long nights of dublin drunks out for staffeve parties, but it all ends christmas , then i go to siscily on the 28th
