69Across was spawned in the Year of the Dragon.

Originally inspired by the fact there were few women performing music in TaiChung, we decided to start a 'chick band'. We were eight chicks from four different countries with a Casio, a borrowed bass, an acoustic guitar, a dijeredoo, some challenging shakers, and a whole lot of voices. We got together over tea and prepared a show for Spring Scream Dragon. Over the last three years, 69Across has migrated, mutated, evovled, revolved, and become even bigger and better. We still have a borrowed bass, the acoustic, and the Casio, but now we gots an erhu, an electric guitar, a tamborine, drums, and a whole lot of voices.
